53115

Today was pretty chill. We didn't do much, which is highly unusual, but fun nonetheless. Today my mom had a shoot for Mega Magazine. This has got to be the fastest shoot Ive ever been to. We were in and out of there in less than thirty minutes! Most shoots take hours, depending on the number of layouts.

Heres a little "Behind The Scenes" action.

When I entered the room I was shocked to find that it was completely empty (other than what was in the picture above, there was nothing else).

For those of you who don't know, my mom is a model. And has been a model since the age of eighteen. She represented the Philippines in the 2003 Ms. World pageant and placed top 5. Recently, she decided to on take the daunting task of blogging. Be sure to watch out for her first blog post!

Mens Health Training Combine

Earlier this morning (6am to be exact), my parents, Nicci, and I attended the Mens Heath Training Combine. This was an event like no other, designed to get "You Improved" by pushing your body to the limit. To be honest, we arrived a little late. So I wasn't able to get many pictures. But heres a glimpse of the event.

The combine was held at Sparta, a top-of-the-line gym in Pasig.

Hurdles and obstacle courses were set up outside.

And on the inside people were trained and worked out by coaches.

Hosts announcing the highest scoring athletes.

(Excuse the unfocused pic, the auto-focus motor on my camera isn't working. So I have to resort to manual.)
With the editor of Men's Health Magazine.

Dad photo-bombing my pic.

Well there you have it. Although I didn't work out, I sweated buckets because of the heat. So I lost some calories! Anyways, I had a great time at my first combine. Cant wait to join in on the next one!

Veloci White Party

The other day I had the pleasure of attending the Veloci White Party held at The Palace Pool Club. This was my first ever pool/ all white party. All I can say is that the people behind Veloci know how to throw a party.

The event/ fashion show was held to showcase their new watch designs and the new face of Veloci, Catriona Gray.

Now, I know if I were you, I wouldn't want to be reading about the show. Id want to be seeing it. So here you go.

Host: Nicole Anderson

Catriona Gray kicked off the show with a brief performance before walking down the runway.

Hideo Muraoka, the male face of Veloci.

I applaud, and have utmost respect for these models. Modeling is not as easy as it looks, especially when you're modeling an accessory. You have to try your best to take the attention away from your face and onto the accessory. Thats quite hard to do given the fact that the audience instantly looks at the face. But these models pulled it off fabulously.

Game time! After the show they called up a couple of brave souls to participate in their games.

David Guison, menswear blogger. Fun Fact: he inspired me to make this blog.

Catriona and I

With Inah Estrada, an up and coming actress in the Philippines.

Well, there you have it. Thanks Veloci for a great time! And congratulations Catriona and Hideo!

American Eagle Summer Kick-Off Party

Last week my parents, Nicci, and I attended the American Eagle Summer Kick-Off Party held at High Street. The store was electric and vibrant, filled with happy people and summer vibes.

Ive passed by the store millions of times and have never seen it this lively. American Eagle makes me miss home so much! My cousins and I used to go to their States branches all the time. Im so glad they brought one to the Philippines.

The pineapples were like icing on a cake, topping off and giving more effect to the summer vibes.

Blogger Central
One thing I love about going to events filled with bloggers is being surrounded by people that share the same passion as me, writing.

At the event we were given frames. We were asked to use them to post a picture about "Anything and Everything you love about the Philippines". The first thing that came to mind was our uniqueness. You will never find a country as unique as the Philippines. Our unique culture and diversity is, in my opinion, what makes us the best country in the world.

Pampanga

After weeks and weeks of being away from the blogging world, Im back! I have a reason for the my absence, my family and I are in the process of moving. You know how it is when you're moving. Your stuff gets mixed with everyone else's stuff. Its so easy to lose something, I lost the wire that connects my camera to the computer. This wire allows me to transfer pictures from my camera to the computer and without it I couldn't do much transferring. I could have blogged, but it wouldn't have any pictures (Whats a blog post without pictures?!?). So I waited till we finished moving to look through the piles of stuff in my room and I found it!!! Now I can blog!

Now that I have my wire and am able to blog, I decided to write about something that was much overdue. Earlier this month my family and I decided to head out to Pampanga to visit some friends.

We got to experience farm life firsthand. Nicci was all over the animals, she wouldn't let them go.

(This picture was taken right before we left, she was holding her favorite puppy Zombie)

On the farm they had…

HORSES
Fun fact: Horses were my favorite animals when I was a kid. Every Christmas Id ask my parents for horses and a stable to put them in. I took horseback riding lessons and everything!

DUCKS
We came just in time for feeding time. They had a cute little pond for them to drink and bathe in. It was so hot I considered joining them.

PIGS
Couldn't get a good picture of them because they smelled terrible, but there were two baby piglets and a Mommy pig. They were saying that the mom could be pregnant, but they were unsure.

They also had the most beautiful lake Ive ever seen. I love the way the trees reflect off the water. Again, I actually considered jumping into it because of the heat, my shirt was soaked with sweat.

(Heres Moses feeding the invisible fishes. They were like ninjas, they came out of nowhere. As soon as the food hit the water they appeared.)

This is their house by the lake. We spent the last hour or so of our stay there. We ate Fruit Roll Ups (one of my favorite American snacks), Gushers, and chocolate.

The view was amazing! There were houses, animals, and endless fields of green.

We also got to ride Carabaos for the very first time! Their skin felt like carpet, rough and ragged. I had a bit of a tough time getting on, my dad had to carry me and place me on top. It was an amazing experience!

My favorite part of the trip was catching the beautiful sunset. Im not entirely sure what mountain it is though. Isn't it just mind-blowing?

Well there you have it, I hope you enjoyed my first Travel post as much as I did. This trip was absolutely amazing (I used that adjective way too many times, sorry). Cant wait for the next one!
