Field Trip Day

We started off our day at 6AM, I found this quite hard to do. Partially because I haven't done it in a while and partially because, come on, who gets used to waking up at 6AM? Anyways, we woke up at six, went to CCF, listened to a seminar, and played in the mud. To be more specific, we played cops and robbers and handball, which ultimately lead to playing in the mud. We went to the field expecting it to be dry. But to our surprise, it wasn't. So we took off our shoes and played barefoot. I've never felt so gross in my life. But it was fun watching everyone slip and fall and get covered in mud.

After, we went to the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial. We lived in a building right beside it and never actually went inside. It was pretty amazing seeing it close up after only seeing it from the top (our condo had an awesome view that included SM Aura, the cemetery, and parts of the Fort). We learned about battle strategies, different routes taken during the wars, and soldiers that died for our nation. Thanks to them, I am alive today. We saw the routes of the Guadalcanal, a trip my great grandfather took part in. They had a wall of names of the soldiers that died, we found a possible relative of ours. It was pretty amazing.
